Miss out on Casual Connect Seattle? You’re in luck! We have the video for Alex Rampell’s panel “Going Beyond the Offer Wall – Monetization 2.0” and it’s well worth watching. If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, we recommend skipping to 9:23 where the panel discusses social games as a customer acquisition channel.
- Alex Rampell – CEO of TrialPay (Moderator)
- Jonathan Claydon – Senior Manager of Addiliate and Partner Markeeting at RealNetworks
- Sean Smyth – Vice President of Business Development for Groupon.com
- Marc Dugas – Producer at Backstage
Over the last 2 years, offer-based monetization platforms have focused on creating a “wall” of ad-supported offers on the payment page or in an overlay. That basic formula has worked very well in the gaming industry, but it can work even better. This panel will examine how publishers are going beyond the offer wall and leveraging innovative advertising strategies to increase revenue and enhance the game experience. How can publishers work with advertisers to achieve in-game placements, deeper offer integration and special promotions that will really move the needle? How do advertisers think about this channel and identify opportunities for growth? How will advertisers adapt to the changing customer landscape as new players (Sony, EA, etc.) move into the space?
