This week was all about the best practices for making your app stand out. To complement several best practices lists (see below for one from Mashable), Simon Moller, the Chief Creative officer of Kiloo, provided his own analysis of the market.
Moller believes we’re in the third wave of mobile gaming, characterized by an open marketplace and low barriers for entry. While this allows for easier entry into the app market, new developers are worried about the decreased visibility of their apps.
Viral marketing is the best approach, according to Moller. But the real key to a successful app isn’t in the resources you employ: it’s in delivering a great game.
