What’s happening at TrialPay:
TrialPay’s own Chuck Yu was featured in PocketGamer this week. His guest post, entitled “How to Make Money from Your Players When They’re Not Even Playing”, focuses on bridging the gap between online and offline spending.

Additionally, we wanted to highlight an article from Facebook’s Yongyan Liú offering developers advice on monetizing their apps. With the Facebook migration to a new, local currency-based payment system complete, we recommend reading about some of the most effective practices you can employ to increase revenue here.

What Else Is Happening: Facebook Brings Ad Tracking to Your Phone
Building on last year’s introduction of Facebook Exchange, which lets advertisers “retarget” Facebook users based on browsing history, Facebook is now bringing retargeting to its mobile platform.

Unlike Facebook Exchange, where the company partnered with third parties to supply advertisers with targeting information, Facebook itself is managing the targeting effort for mobile; rather than using cookies to track customers, Facebook is using its own code to track its users’ browsing habits and will combine that with its user data to offer advertisers more effective mobile targeting.

You can read more about Facebook’s mobile ad tracking here.

Here’s what else we’ve been reading at TrialPay this week:
No Summer Slump for Mobile Advertising: A video report summarizing the key findings of Opera Mediaworks’ Mobile Advertising report for Q3s.
Here Are the Major Players in the Booming Mobile Video Industry: Because everything is clearer when explained in an infographic, here is Business Insider’s chart breaking down the Mobile Video Ecosystem.
Google Shares Break $1,000 Barrier as Mobile Pays Off: Google’s shares rose more than 13 percent to over $1,000 this week, propelled in part by investors’ excitement and optimism over Google’s future in the mobile market.
